Last winter, I served as a grand juror in Anchorage. I’d served on a jury a few years prior, but grand jury is an interesting and entirely different kettle of fish. Judge Adolf Zeman joined all the grand jury members to explain the process, answer questions, and to personally thank us for our service and to swear us in. This kind of dedicated, hands-on attention is the exception and not the norm, as the professional court clerks informed us.

Judge Zeman is both knowledgeable and passionate about our legal system.

It is my sincere hope that Alaskans read the opinion commentary about him, published on Oct. 15, and vote to retain Judge Zeman.
